SHANGHAI, Jun. 23 (SMM) - Galvanized structural parts producers in central, east and south China reported growing orders from the tube/pipe, highway and high-speed rail sectors, SMM finds in its latest survey.
These producers were thus incentivized to produce, leaving operating rates stable.
Galvanized tube/pipe producers in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, however, were affected by environmental protection inspections there starting early last week.
"Cash tightness from slow downstream payment and strict loans, combined with falling raw material prices, allowed SMEs to refrain from buying stocks”, SMM zinc analyst adds.
