SHANGHAI, Jun. 19 (SMM) – SHFE 1509 nickel started Thursday evening at RMB 96,020/mt and ended at RMB 95,680/mt, losing 0.6%.
The contract opened at RMB 95,680/mt during Friday trading session and moved in a narrow range of RMB 95,500-95,900/mt. But near the session’s end, the metal fell below RMB 95,000/mt on strengthening dollar, to close down 1.71% at RMB 94,610/mt. Positions surged 12,122 to 215,000 with trading volumes down 12,774 to 315,000 lots on reducing shorts.
