Spot aluminum mainly settled at RMB 12,570-12,580/mt in Shanghai market, RMB 40-50/mt lower than SHFE 1506 aluminum contract。

SHANGHAI, Jun. 15 (SMM) – Spot aluminum mainly settled at RMB 12,570-12,580/mt in Shanghai market, RMB 40-50/mt lower than SHFE 1506 aluminum contract, versus RMB 12,560-12,570/mt in Wuxi and RMB 12,590-12,600/mt in Hangzhou.

Aluminum prices resisted to decline further and cargo holders were keen to purchase on this last trading day before delivery. Traders and downstream buyers remained cautious and refused to buy further after reaching targeted amount. In response, activity in trades weakened.
