China Expects High Utilization Rate at Zinc Smelters in June

Utilization rate at major Chinese 45 zinc smelters is expected to stay high at 83-84% in June, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 9 (SMM) – Utilization rate at major Chinese 45 zinc smelters is expected to stay high at 83-84% in June, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

Stable production at most smelters will allow high utilization rate, SMM zinc group says.

The rate, up to 83.08% in May, is mainly due to rising prices of zinc, high TCs and production resumption after unit maintenance, SMM survey finds.
