SHANGHAI, Jun. 8 (SMM) – Five aluminum smelters in Inner Mongolia will not be subject to tiered power tariffs since their alternate current power consumption per tonne of aluminum liquid produced is below 13,700 Kwh, local media reported.

These five smelters are: Inner Mongolia HMHJ Aluminum & Electricity Co., China Power Investment Huolinhe Coal & Electricity Group Aluminum Co., East Hope Baotou Rare Earth Aluminum Co., Baotou Aluminum Co., Inner Mongolia Datang International Renewable Resource Development Co.
