SHANGHAI, May 29 (SMM) – Domestic secondary lead smelters are sharply mixed on lead price in China, Shanghai Metals Market survey finds.
Three of ten surveyed enterprises, including secondary lead producers and scrap battery traders, are pessimistic over the price, according to SMM survey.
Only one expects further price gains, and the rest, majority of participants, are unclear over the trend.
The sharply divided views, fierce competition and the arrival of off-demand season in the lead-acid battery sector will give little support to the rise, SMM foresees.
