SHANGHAI, May 27 (SMM) – A growing number of Chinese secondary lead smelters in Inner Mongolia and Jiangxi plan to suspend production, Shanghai Metals Market survey finds.
Falling profits and stringent environmental protection inspections serve as main reasons behind the closures, SMM says.
Two of the three secondary lead smelters surveyed by SMM suspended production in Inner Mongolia.
