China National Gold Group’s Jiama Copper-Molybdenum Mine in China’s Tibet will be able to processing 50,000 tonnes of raw ore (copper ore) per day by H2 2016.

SHANGHAI, May 26 (SMM) – China National Gold Group’s Jiama Copper-Molybdenum Mine in China’s Tibet will be able to process 50,000 tonnes of raw ore (copper ore) per day by H2 2016, according to report of China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters.

Capacity expansion at Jiama mine is divided into two stages. The whole expansion project should be completed in the latter half of 2016. Once finished, the company will be capable of processing 16.5 million tonnes of raw ore per year to produce 67,000 tonnes of copper concentrate (Cu content).

The first phase which has been accomplished last year allowed the mine to process some 6,000 tonnes of raw ore per day at present.
