Asian crude steel production dropped 1.2% in April

According to the recent data published by the World Steel Association, the crude steel production by Asia dropped marginally by 1.32 during the month of April 2015 year-on-year.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): According to the recent data published by the World Steel Association, the crude steel production by Asia dropped marginally by 1.32 during the month of April 2015 year-on-year.
 
Japan reported decline in monthly crude steel output during April. Japan's crude steel output dropped from 8.946 Million tonnes in April 2014 to 8.402 Million tonnes in the same month this year.
 
South Korean crude steel production declined considerably by 6.6% from 6.199 Million tonnes in April 2014 to 5.788 Million tonnes in April this year.
 
The Taiwanese April steel output edged higher by 9.2% to 2.015 Million tonnes from 1.845 Million tonnes during same month last year.
 
The following table provides cumulative crude steel output for the first four months in 2015 in comparison with those during same period in 2014.
