Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange continues to decline to 586 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to decline for the sixth day in a raw on Friday on lower capesize and panamax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to decline for the sixth day in a raw on Friday on lower capesize and panamax rates.
 
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 6 points to 586 points on Friday.
 
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
