SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 97,000-100,900/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 22 (SMM) – SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 97,000-100,900/mt. SHFE nickel prices rose slightly in the morning, pushing up spot nickel prices, with trading mainly for Russian nickel. Investors also turned to Sumitomo nickel due to high Jinchuan nickel prices, with traded prices between RMB 97,300-100,600/mt. Traders purchased some Jinchuan nickel due to tight Jinchuan nickel supply, but downstream buyers lacked buying interest for the latter. Traded prices were between RMB 96,800-103,900/mt in the afternoon, and trading was quiet.
