The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined for the fourth day in a raw on Wednesday.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined for the fourth day in a raw on Wednesday due to a sharp decline in capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 14 points to 606 points on Wednesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
