SHANGHAI, May 21 (SMM) – Guangdong’s government recently reported progress of its pollution control efforts and announced 15,000 tpy of copper smelting capacity in the province has been phased out in 2014, Newsgd.com reported.
The province also eliminated 2.5 million tpy of iron and steel capacity last year, and pledged to step up environmental protection efforts in 2015 – the last year of the 12th Five Year Plan period.
