SHANGHAI, May 15 (SMM) – China’s NPI output is expected to grow in May on production resumption, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.
The recent rise in NPI price is expected to give an incentive to production at domestic NPI producers, including those which suspended production, SMM survey finds.
The growth of output, however, is expected to be small, SMM expects, as rising prices of ore will cool their enthusiasm in restarting production.
In April, China produced 34,900 tonnes of NPI, up 6.97% month-on-month, according to SMM data.
