SHFE Aluminum Futures Weaken, Central China Market Premiums Under Pressure
Today, SHFE aluminum futures prices weakened notably from the opening price yesterday morning, and offers from traders in the central China market moved higher again. However, weighed down by factors including low purchase willingness among downstream processing enterprises and long-term contract monthly average prices below the current level, ample spot supply in the market slightly pressured actual transaction premiums. Ultimately, actual transaction prices in the central China market hovered around a premium of -110 to -140 yuan/mt against the SHFE August aluminum contract.
