The metal recycling firm Schnitzer has announced that the recycling facility at Bainbridge, Georgia has closed its doors.

SPOKANE (Scrap Monster): The metal recycling firm Schnitzer has announced that the recycling facility at Bainbridge, Georgia has closed its doors.

According to company website, customers are requested to drop their recyclables at company’s other locations in Albany, Ga., and Dothan, Ala.

As per media reports, the gates of the facility are now closed. A signboard directing customers to use alternative locations is being placed at the gate.

The reason for the closure is not known.

The Schnitzer’s 916 Dothan Road had earlier accepted scrap metals including iron and copper.

Founded in 1906, Schnitzer is a global leader in metals recycling industry. It collects, processes and recycles raw scrap metal (ferrous and nonferrous) and provides processed scrap metal to mills and foundries around the world. The company deals with wide range of scrap metals including iron, steel, aluminum, copper, lead, stainless steel and zinc.
