Chinese Aluminum and Brass scrap prices rise

The Chinese Aluminum scrap prices increased marginally on the Scrap Monster Price Index on May 6th, Wednesday.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster) : The Chinese Aluminum scrap prices increased marginally on the Scrap Monster Price Index on May 6th, Wednesday.
 
6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. Aluminum Ingots and Transformers prices increased by CNY 200 per MT and CNY 50 per MT respectively. E.C Aluminum Wire prices jumped higher by CN 200 per MT to touch CNY 13,400 per MT. Old Cast prices too appreciated by CNY 50 per MT. The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Old Sheet saw marginal rise of CNY 50 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively. UBC prices went higher by CNY 50 per MT. Meantime, Zorba 90% INF prices were up by CNY 100 per MT from the previous day levels.
 
Meanwhile, Brass Radiator prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too witnessed an up move of CNY 100 per MT each.
 
Stainless steel scrap prices mostly were up on the Index.
 
201 SS prices remained edged higher by CNY 50 per MT.
 
The prices of 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning increased by CNY 100 per MT each.
 
309 SS, 316 SS and Shred SS prices too climbed higher by CNY 100 per MT each on May 6th, 2015.
 
310 SS Solid prices were up by CNY 150 per MT.

National Grid's Panxi UHV AC Project, a $23.2B Investment, to Span 994km and Complete by 2028
On March 31, the National Grid announced that the Panxi UHV AC project, the first UHV AC project to start construction during the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the National Grid, has a total investment of about 23.2 billion yuan.
