SHFE 1507 zinc contract opened at RMB 16,870/mt for Wednesday’s night session and met resistance at RMB 17,000/mt. That being said, buying activities grew with positions up 12,214.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 30 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 zinc contract opened at RMB 16,870/mt for Wednesday’s night session and met resistance at RMB 17,000/mt. That being said, buying activities grew with positions up 12,214.

SHFE 1507 zinc contract opened at RMB 16,985/mt on Thursday and climbed to RMB 17,110/mt in the afternoon, but surrendered earlier gains due to risk aversion before the May Day holiday and ended at RMB 17,000/mt, up RMB 45/mt, or 0.27%. Trading volumes grew 55,752 lots to 196,162 lots, and positions increased 13,748 to 154,842.
