Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange continues to rise to 598 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to rose on Monday mostly on higher capesize rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to rose on Monday mostly on higher capesize rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, rose by another 1 points to 598 points on Monday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
