Vietnam's scrap exports rise in March

The most recently released trade data indicates that scrap exports by Vietnam during March this year continued to rise in comparison with the previous month.

TOKYO (Scrap Monster): The most recently released trade data indicates that scrap exports by Vietnam during March this year continued to rise in comparison with the previous month. The country’s scrap exports had risen during February too.
 
Vietnam exported 256,000 tons of scrap during Mar ‘15. This is 27.4% higher when compared with the imports during the same month a year before. The scrap exports by the country had totaled 201,000 tons during Mar ‘14.
 
The export prices dropped by $10.5 per ton over the previous year to average at $295.4 per ton during the month.
 
The cumulative scrap exports by the country during the initial three months of the year totaled 634,000 tons. The scrap exports were up marginally by 0.8% when compared with the corresponding three-month period in 2014.
