SHANGHAI, Apr. 20 (SMM) –EMM prices in China fell at a faster pace in the week ending April 17. Several large EMM producers closed some production lines. Some SMEs cut production, while others resumed production. Overall, the decline in market supply was limited. Both domestic and overseas demand remained poor. Some producers refrained from giving offers and took a wait-and-see stance instead.
EMM prices are expected to remain at current lows or fall toward RMB 10,000/mt this week, since demand has shown no signs of a turnaround.
