SHANGHAI, Apr. 17 (SMM) – The most active SHFE 1506 lead contract prices ended Thursday’s evening session at RMB 13,535/mt.

 

The June delivery lead moved stably at RMB 13,500/mt during morning session Friday, then jumped to RMB 13,720/mt for rising long positions during afternoon session. However, the prices fell later as shorts entered the market while longs booked profits, and ended at RMB 13,540/mt, up RMB 290/mt. Trading volumes totaled 22,928 lots and positions climbed 476 to 17,714.

 

Long positions increased and short positions reduced in the nearby SHFE lead contracts due to tight supply in spot lead. But the active August delivery lead contract featured growing shot positions today.
