SHFE Tin Ends Lower as Bears Dominate (Apr. 17, 2015)

SHFE 1507 tin contract opened at RMB 113,010/mt on Friday.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 17 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 tin contract opened at RMB 113,010/mt on Friday. Prices dived to RMB 109,300/mt in the afternoon since falling LME tin prompted bears to enter. Finally, the most active contract finished RMB 2,880/mt or 2.55% lower at RMB 110,000/mt. Trading volumes increased by 7,456 lots to 11,322 lots, while positions increased by 1,622 to 3,584.

Entry of bears and exit of bulls caused LME tin to plunge to USD 13,600/mt on Friday. But prices quickly bounced back since bears withdrew.
