SHFE 1507 tin contract dived on Monday night.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 14 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 tin contract dived on Monday night. The contract continued falling on Tuesday, touching an intraday low of RMB 112,300/mt after opening at RMB 115,550/mt. Finally, SHFE 1507 tin ended the day at RMB 112,300/mt. Trading volumes increased by 3,960 lots to 5,588 lots, while positions increased by 886 to 1,894. Some smelters opened short positions on the SHFE for hedging purpose, exerting downward pressure on prices. SHFE 1507 tin contract is expected to hover around RMB 112,000/mt during today’s night session.
