Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Co. registered a net profit of 470 million yuan in the 2014 fiscal year, up from 2013’s 391 million yuan, the company’s annual report says.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 8 (SMM) – Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Co. registered a net profit of 470 million yuan ($76.7 million) in the 2014 fiscal year, up from 2013’s 391 million yuan, the company’s annual report says.

Zhongjing Lingnan said the rebound in zinc prices contributed largely to the increased profits, and noted that the improving market fundamentals will continue to bolster lead and zinc prices.

The company produced 250,200 tonnes of lead and zinc in 2014, down 16.8% year-on-year. Output of lead and zinc concentrates of its mines in China grew 0.64% to 188,900 tonnes (metal content), and that of mines overseas increased 12.18% to 130,800 tonnes.

Zhongjin Lingnan expects its lead and zinc production to be around 246,800 tonnes this year.
