SHANGHAI, Apr. 8 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 94,500/mt Wednesday, then plunged to as low as RMB 93,300/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices clawed back early gains at one point, but lacked impetus to rise again, and closed the day with declines at RMB 93,950/mt, down 0.38%. Trading volumes decreased 336 to 91,376 lots, and total positions decreased 1,936 to 95,102 lots. SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices are expected to fall, but any declines will be limited.
