Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange continues to rise to 597 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to rise on Tuesday on higher rates for capesize vessels.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to rise on Tuesday on higher rates for capesize vessels.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by another 3 points to 597 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
