SHANGHAI, Mar. 24 (SMM) – NPI producers in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, have been required to shut down, following the closures in Shandong earlier this month, Shanghai Metals Market survey shows.

The shut-down is expected to continue into late March, and will reduce the region’s high-grade NPI output by 1,000 tonnes in Ni content in March, SMM foresees.

An International Olympic Committee (IOC) evaluation team arrived at Beijing to determine whether China's bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games is successful, which is the reason behind the closures in Inner Mongolia.
