Zhejiang Hailiang Co. plans to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Guangdong with 200 million yuan ($32.5 million) to build a 25,000 tpy copper tube/pipe project.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 18 (SMM) – Zhejiang Hailiang Co., one of the leaders in China’s copper tube/pipe sector, plans to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Guangdong with 200 million yuan ($32.5 million) to build a 25,000 tpy copper tube/pipe project, the company said in a statement yesterday.

The project, mainly producing environmentally-friendly, precision copper tube/pipe, is expected to start operation in May 2016.

A report from China’s DZH News said the project will enable Hailiang to increase its copper tube/pipe capacity by some 8%.
