SHANGHAI, Mar. 16 (SMM) – Chalco will invest 2.6 billion yuan ($400 million) to explore bauxite in Chongzuo, Guangxi – one of China’s bauxite-rich regions – local media reported.
Feasibility report was completed last December, and groundbreaking might start as soon as this June, the media added.
Once operational, the project will produce 2.58 million tonnes of bauxite annually, together with 800,000 tonnes of metallurgical-grade alumina, it reported.
