SHANGHAI, Mar. 13 (SMM) – A rib spalling accident at the Tongshankou Copper Mine of China’s Daye Nonferrous Metals Group late March 11 caused four deaths and left one injured, local media reported.

The mine, located in Huangshi City of Hubei province, was still in a stage of construction. The accident occurred in a shaft for deep mining operation. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
