SHANGHAI, Mar. 10 (SMM) – LME tin overnight started at USD 18,100/mt and then hovered between USD 18,000-18,225/mt before closing up USD 70/mt at USD 18,125/mt. Trading volumes for three-month tin on the London Metal Exchange rose 31 lots to 175 lots, while positions decreased 126 to 20,745. LME tin inventories shed 20 mt to 10,610 mt on Monday.
China’s CPI and PPI, due for release on Tuesday, are both expected to have little impact on base metals market. LME tin is set to hover between USD 18,000-18,300/mt, while spot tin in China should continue to hold flat between USD 122,500-126,500/mt.
