China’s Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) will target aluminum industry in its energy-saving campaign this year.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 4 (SMM) – China’s Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) will target aluminum industry in its energy-saving campaign this year, according to its 2015 Key Work Plan for Supervision Over Energy-Saving in Industrial Sectors released recently.

Under the plan, the MIIT will organize energy-saving supervision institutions to check power consumption and production process in aluminum and other energy-intensive industries, and ensure the implementation of tiered power pricing.
