MM in China was largely offered between RMB 11,800-12,000/mt, but was actually traded between RMB 11,800-11,900/mt.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 9 (SMM) – EMM in China was largely offered between RMB 11,800-12,000/mt, but was actually traded between RMB 11,800-11,900/mt. EMM consumption fell as some stainless steel mills have closed for maintenance.

EMM prices are expected to remain at current lows of RMB 11,800-11,900/mt this week, due to falling demand and tightening cash.

Samsung Electronics was expected on Tuesday to report that its Q1 operating profit increased by more than eightfold from a year earlier, exceeding market expectations.
