The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities decline further on Friday mainly due to a fall in the smaller vessels segments.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities decline further on Friday mainly due to a fall in the smaller vessels segments.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 8 points to 741 points on Friday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
