SHANGHAI, Jan. 12 (SMM) – China’s Zhejiang province plans to phase out 2.3 million KVAH of lead-acid battery capacity by 2017, China Finance Information reported.
Zhejiang’s local government has worked out a plan to eliminate backward capacity in the province as local industrial producers are highly fragmented and make low-end products. Steel, cement, tanning, and dyeing capacities are also targeted for elimination.
