Price CenterDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Jan. 5 (SMM) – The most active SHFE 1503 copper contract started Monday at RMB 45,500/mt and followed LME copper down to RMB 45,200/mt by the midday. The price of the contract fell further to RMB 44,990/mt in the afternoon trading session, but recouped some losses to close down RMB 540/mt, or 1.18%, at RMB 45,080/mt. Trading volumes for the most active contract shed 117,000 lots, while positions added 17,532 lots. Trading volumes for the SHFE 1504 copper contract shrank 7,044 lots, while positions gained 11,912.
