Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange declines further to 782 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels continued to decline on Wednesday due to lower rates for panamax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels continued to decline on Wednesday due to lower rates for panamax rates.


The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 06 points to 782 points on Wednesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
