The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels continued to drop on Tuesday due to weaker rates for bigger shipping vessels.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels continued to drop on Tuesday due to weaker rates for bigger shipping vessels.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 24 points to 887 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
