SHFE Zinc Prices Finish with Declines (Dec. 11, 2014)

SHFE 1502 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 16,550/mt Wednesday evening, then plummeted to RMB 16,330/mt, and closing at RMB 16,350/mt, down RMB 265/mt or 1.59%.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 11 (SMM) – SHFE 1502 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 16,550/mt Wednesday evening, then plummeted to RMB 16,330/mt, and closing at RMB 16,350/mt, down RMB 265/mt or 1.59%. Trading volumes increased 26,266 to 195,218 lots, and total positions were up over 10,000 to 152,000 lots.

SHFE 1502 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 16,330/mt Thursday, then fluctuating between RMB 16,390-16,430/mt, and closing at RMB 16,400/mt, down RMB 215/mt or 1.29%. Trading volumes increased 29,532 to 303,000 lots, and total positions increased 7,828 to 145,000 lots. SHFE 1501 zinc contract prices are expected to test RMB 16,300/mt this evening.
