EMM prices in China’s spot market fell from RMB 12,150-12,250/mt early last week to close the week at RMB 11,900-12,000/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 9 (SMM) – EMM prices in China’s spot market fell from RMB 12,150-12,250/mt early last week to close the week at RMB 11,900-12,000/mt. Ample supply and tepid demand are blamed for the price decline.

Operating rates at EMM producers are unlikely to fall significantly, and downstream demand will remain weak. Hence, prices are likely to fall further to below 11,800/mt this coming week.

SHANGHAI, Mar 31 (SMM) - As of March 31, the average spot EMM price in China’s main producing areas was flat from yesterday at 17,000 yuan/mt, and the FOB price was also unchanged at $2,700-2,90/mt.
