DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Nov. 28 (SMM) – Exports of China’s refined zinc reached 25,700 tonnes in October, a new high since March 2007, Shanghai Metals Market learns.
The unfavorable SMM/LME zinc price ratio, creating a loss of 500-1,000 yuan per tonne in imports, is the main reason behind strong exports, SMM estimates.
Most of exports were mainly products being placed in bonded areas, SMM learns.
Outbound shipments mainly went to countries having LME-registered warehouses, such as Taiwan and Malaysia.
