Taiwan-based Feng Hsin announce further cut in rebar prices

Major Taiwanese long steel product manufacturer-Feng Hsin Iron and Steel Co. has decided to cut its rebar prices for the week commencing November 8th.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Major Taiwanese long steel product manufacturer-Feng Hsin Iron and Steel Co. has decided to cut its rebar prices for the week commencing November 8th. The scrap purchasing prices too will see a cut during the week. However, the prices of section steel has been kept unchanged, the company stated.

According to company press release by Feng Hsin, the list prices for rebar will decrease by NT$ 300 per ton to NT$ 16,600 per ton, declining from the previous week price of NT$ 16,900 per ton.

The price for section steel during the week will be in the range NT$ 18,500 per ton to NT$ 18,700 per ton, remaining flat over the previous week.

The scrap purchasing prices has been reduced by NT$ 300 per ton for the week. The scrap prices will remain in the range between NT$ 8,900 to NT$ 9,800 per ton.

Feng Hsin Iron & Steel Co., Ltd is a Taiwanese company principally engaged in the manufacture, processing and distribution of iron and steel products. The Company provides steel sections, including angle irons, channel steels and steel flats, which are applied in the factories construction, shipbuilding, power transmission and distribution towers, machinery manufacture, metal products, as well as steel structures, among others; steel bars, which are applied in the construction of office buildings, residential buildings, roads, bridges and tunnels, as well as bar steels and steel rods, which are applied in the manufacture of screw caps, automobile parts, hand tools and others.
