Silver weakness sees no end in sight, an analyst from Guotai Junan Futures told SMM in a recent interview.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 6 (SMM) – Silver weakness sees no end in sight, an analyst from Guotai Junan Futures told SMM in a recent interview.

“The support for silver is now fragile, and the market will continue falling in the medium run, despite a possibly brief rally,” she said, expecting London silver to fall to $8-11 per ounce.

The expectation of a rate hike by the US is the key factor for silver prices, as continuous recovery in its economy will reduce appetite for safe-haven assets, the analyst added.
