Newmont prolongs copper shipment from Indonesia

JARKATA (Scrap Monster): Martiono Hadianto, the Chief Executive of Newmont, Indonesia said in a statement that, for all the employees and the contractors based on the Batu Hijavu mine, the resuming of production and other operations in the mine would definitely result in the embracing of new milestones in their lives. More than 8, 000 workers are employed at the mine.

The New Mont mining firm, which is a US based mining firm, had to cease all their exports in the month of January, when the Indonesian government decided to charge the U.S based company with heavy taxes. Sooner in the month of June, the company had to stop every process of production in the mine.

Newmont, is the second largest producer of copper in Indonesia, and the company is anticipated to ship, approximately 200, 000 tonnes of copper by the remaining of this financial year, the director general of Indonesia's coal and minerals, of the ministry of mining has stated.
