LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels up on Thursday mainly on higher activity across all vessel segments.
 
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, advanced by 56 points or 5.27 percent to 1,119 points.
 
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
