China Manganese Ore Market Movement (2014-8-29)

Price Review & Forecast 03:26:27PM Aug 29, 2014 Source:SMM

SHANGHAI, Aug. 29 (SMM) –

Manganese Ore Market:
Nearly 100,000 mt of manganese ore was sold at the Port of Qinzhou in just a week, with no arrival expected at the port in the near term. Major ports in north China are expected to see increasing arrivals next month, which will prevent prices of Australian, South African and Gabonese manganese ore from rising. Prices for Brazilian manganese ore will come under downward pressure.

Silicomanganese Alloy Market:
Hebei Iron & Steel Group finalized its bid price of silicomanganese alloy for delivery in September at RMB 6,550/mt (tax included, by acceptance, delivery to factory). Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel Group cut silicomanganese alloy bid prices for September by RMB 60/mt to RMB 6,790/mt (tax included, by acceptance, delivery to factory).
