Yunnan Yongchang Silicon Running at Full Operating Rate

Yunnan Yongchang Silicon Industry Co. is now running at full operating rate after production resumption with the arrival of high-water period, the company said at its website.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 11 (SMM) – Yunnan Yongchang Silicon Industry Co. is now running at full operating rate after production resumption at its #3, #4, and #6 furnaces with the arrival of high-water period, the company said at its website.

Daily output at its #3 and #4 furnaces averaged 443,100 tonnes of industrial-grade silicon since restarting production on June 17-18, it added.

Average operating rate at 120 Chinese silicon metal producers grew 3.36% to 36.96% in June, SMM survey showed, with total capacity covering over 85% of the national total.

At present, only two silicon metal producers are in operation in Inner Mongolia, Shanghai Metals Market reports.
