SHANGHAI, Jun. 26 (SMM) – Tsingshan Group is now building two NPI projects in Indonesia after Indonesia’s export ban on unprocessed ore drove Chinese companies to begin building plants in the country, Shanghai Metals Market learnt.
The first project, with NPI annual capacity of 300,000 tonnes, is scheduled for commissioning in 2015. The second one, a 600,000-tpy project, will employ RKEF technology to produce Ni 10% NPI. Two 150 MW thermal power plants are planned for the project, which is expected to come online in early 2016.
