NEW YORK (Scrap Monster): The role of the media for not promoting the gold might have affected the precious metal’s demand badly in last years, investor and investment publisher Marc Faber told CNBC.
The gold has been neglected by the mainstream media that would make negative remarks on investors.
"Nobody at CNBC owns gold. Nobody at Bloomberg owns gold. Gold is being constantly talked down by the media, and Fed officials, and economists, who also don't own any gold. They're all stocked up in equities," said Faber added.
However, the precious metal has been going through a tough crisis as the dollar has recovered from its slumber. Yet, the media is unlikely to sing about the heydays of the gold that would stray the investors from the yellow metal.
